Sign in to OpenDunes with Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key — no password needed.
Passkeys let you sign in to your OpenDunes account without typing a password. A passkey is a cryptographic credential (WebAuthn) stored by your device or password manager — you approve sign-in with the same unlock you already use: Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, a device PIN, or a hardware security key.
Passkeys are phishing-resistant by design: the credential is bound to opendunes.com and never leaves your authenticator, so it cannot be reused on a look-alike site and there is nothing to leak in a data breach.
You add passkeys from your account settings while signed in:

You can register multiple passkeys (one per device, or one synced passkey plus a hardware key as backup) and delete any of them from the same card at any time. Deleting a passkey immediately stops it from working for sign-in; it does not affect your other sign-in methods.
From the sign-in dialog, choose Passkey. Your browser immediately starts the credential prompt — pick your OpenDunes passkey and confirm with your device unlock. There is no email or password step: passkeys are registered as discoverable credentials, so the authenticator itself knows which account they belong to and tells the browser.
If the prompt is dismissed or fails, the dialog offers a retry — or you can fall back to any other sign-in method (email + password, or a connected provider). Passkey sign-in establishes the same session as any other method.
Passkeys work in every modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox — on macOS, iOS, Android, Windows, and Linux. Where you store the passkey determines where you can use it:
If a browser doesn't support WebAuthn, the Passkeys card in settings says so and the option simply isn't offered — your other sign-in methods are unaffected.
